Search Program Interests, Talents, and Potential (PMBP-ITB) 2011 in Region (formerly known as the Regional USM-ITB) is intended to get students who have academic qualifications and good personality. For success in the field of employment, besides having good academic qualifications, the quality in things like leadership, communication, creativity, loyalty, and other attitudes are crucial. To achieve this, the ITB continually make improvements of all aspects that are still possible, ie starting from the basic terms and procedures for admission of students to learning processes and procedures in the ITB.

Activities crawl or tests in the area, is one of the options that offer convenience to the prospective student to access the new student selection system files. PMBP-ITB 2011 in Region consists of three distinct test lines, namely:

1. Line Science and Engineering.
2. Path of Art and Design.
3. Line of Business and Management.

PMBP - ITB in the region in 2011 on its implementation will involve Local Government, Alumni Association or any other party designated by the ITB. This program provides an opportunity son / daughter to participate in the selection area PMBP-ITB without having to leave their respective regions during the test 2 days in a row.



Purpose

PMBP-ITB aimed at selecting candidates for ITB students who have academic ability, personal maturity, reasoning ability, and potential to be able to follow and complete education degree programs that match their interests and talents within a predetermined time limit.


Pattern Selection

PMBP-ITB selecting future students expected to complete education in the ITB with good results and at a predetermined time.

1. Selection is done through a written exam which was conducted over 2 (two) consecutive days.
2. Selection conducted simultaneously for all lines exam option. Prospective participants can choose one, two, or three lines provided exams, providing he can meet all the requirements of each test lane.
3. The result of written exam is a major determinant in decision-making in this selection.

Participation Scheme PMBP-ITB 2011

Participants PMBP-ITB 2011 in Region who have done graduation confirmation paid by BPM or send a confirmation of graduation form PMBP-ITB 2011 in the Region, not allowed to participate in ITB 2011 PMBP-Centered. When participants PMBP-ITB 2011 in Region who have made confirmation of graduation in PMBP-ITB 2011 in Region tried to follow PMBP Centralized-ITB 2011, ITB will cancel its participation in PMBP-ITB 2011 in Local and Centralized PMBP-ITB 2011.

Participants PMBP-ITB 2011 in Areas that do not pass or cancel graduation, still have the opportunity to follow-ITB 2011 PMBP Centralized and / or the National Selection State University 2011. ITB will not do "black list" for participants PMBP-ITB 2011 in the following Areas PMBP-ITB 2011 Centralized and / or the National Selection State University, 2011, so has the chance of graduation at the ITB in common with the participants PMBP-ITB 2011 Centralized and / or the National Selection 2011 other State Universities.

PMBP Participant-Centered ITB 2011 which did not pass or cancel graduation, still has a chance to follow the National Selection State University 2011. Institut Teknologi Bandung or ITB Bandung, as one of the Universities in Indonesia, should use the new admission scheme that provides more alternatives to prospective students in determining their choice.

In 2011, ITB to new admissions in the graduate program entrance exam ITB (USM-ITB), Integrated, which includes six courses selection, namely:

1. Search Program Interests, Talents, and Potential ITB (PMBP-ITB), which consists of:
   o PMBP-ITB 2011 in the Region, held ITB independently in several cities in Indonesia (Jakarta, Bandung, Medan, Balikpapan, Pekanbaru, Makassar, Denpasar, Surabaya, etc.) in March 2011
   o Centralized PMBP-ITB 2011, ITB was held independently, in Bandung, on 28 and 29 May 2011. Registration PMBP Centered-ITB 2011 will begin in mid-April 2011.



2. ITB Nusantara Partnership Program (KN-ITB), to recruit the best student candidates proposed by ITB partner agencies (Local Government, Company Partner ITB, other Government Agencies)



3. Program Selection Transfer Students ITB (SMT-ITB), for students transferring from ITB partner universities who wish to pursue undergraduate education at ITB, and filed by the university of origin.



4. International Student Selection Program ITB (SMI-ITB), for prospective students of foreign nationality who are interested in continuing higher education in the ITB.



5. National Selection Entrance State University (SNMPTN), scheduled to be held in June 2011, conducted nationally by the Council of Rectors of State Universities Indonesia (MRPTNI).



6. Line Scholarship.

Outside the sixth program admission to the above, ITB does not make the process of Undergraduate Admissions in other ways, and not to recruit prospective students individually.

Education in ITB is education scholarship that provides a comprehensive mastery of science accompanied by extensive knowledge, and is equipped with an awareness of their utilization, so that its graduates have the skills and instincts of the development and / or their application, either independently or in cooperation, including cooperation among disciplines. On that basis, student acceptance in ITB, for all track entrance exam, conducted through a reception at the Faculty / School. This may differ by several other universities in Indonesia.

In the second year, students are placed on a course of interest based on the priority option, where available, as well as academic achievement reached in the first year of study.
